Academic Interests:
Dr. Masi's research focuses on health disparities by ethnicity and socioeconomic status. He has studied the impact of neighborhood characteristics on health outcomes and the effect of Internet access on health empowerment. With experience in community based participatory research, Dr. Masi collaborates with the University's Cancer Center and is one of the lead investigators in the University's Center for Interdisciplinary Health Disparities Research. In these roles, Dr. Masi is studying the effects of chronic psychological stress on the onset and course of chronic disease.
